Angel's Gate has
a "No Adoptions" policy, meaning once we adopt
an animal we guarantee it a home for life. Each animal
can come to live out their days in peace, dignity and
love. Our focus is on wellness and quality of life. We
provide for the physical, emotional and spiritual needs
of each animal.
Even though Angel's Gate has a no adoptions policy for
our locations, we want to encourage people to adopt the
wonderful animals up for adoption at many great organizations.
They are working so hard to preserve life and to "re-home"
animals who would otherwise have been euthanized. So if
you are looking for a new family member please consider
an adoption. |

Angel’s
Gate Senior to Senior project offers opportunity
for mutual caring. Once in a while we take in an
animal that is suitable for adoption. Such is the
case with the spunky 8-year-old poodle who came
from a shelter in NY. After his arrival at Angel’s
Gate he was neutered, had a dental and a large tumor
removed from the top of his head. The histology
report on his tumor was benign.
Joe, a local here in Town, came to Angel’s
Gate looking to adopt a dog. His wife of 50 years
had passed and he was lonely and looking for someone
to love and care for. We felt that Joe could provide
a loving home for our poodle. Joe named his new
charge “Mogul” and for the two it was
love at first sight.
Most of the animals that come to Angel’s Gate
require medical care and daily nursing care so they
remain at Angel’s Gate for their lifetime.
The animals in our Senior to Senior Project remain
the sole responsibility of Angel’s Gate. The
foster guardian must return the animal to Angel’s
Gate each month. At that time they are given heartworm
prevention, flea meds and a fecal is done. We groom
the animal and provide them with collars leashes
and beds. Angel’s Gate will board the animal
when their guardian goes on vacation or must go
into the hospital. The guardians only responsibility
is to love and care for the animal. Today Mogul
is Joe’s constant companion. |
