The new location of Angel's Gate is
in the Catskill Mountain town of Delhi, NY, approximately
150 miles from Manhattan. Angel's Gate has nearly 100
acres of gorgeous meadows and wood lands in this picturesque
college town where SUNY Delhi is located. We are in the
process of building corrals and structures to house and
maintain our growing family of animals.
We are currently under construction. When we learned that we were a finalist in the Rachael Ray "Mutt Madness" contest and we were guaranteed $25,000 we poured the foundation for our new kitchen. We were in a race for time but we did it. The day after the foundation was set 4 inches of snow fell on Angel's Gate. Our crew has been out there in the wind and snow framing the new structure. We are hoping that it will be completely enclosed by mid January and completed by the end of February.
As you can imagine preparing food for our 100 dogs and 200 cats is not an easy feet in a 12x12 foot space. Clean up is equally difficult. This kitchen is desperately needed to better serve our animals. We could not have done this without "Mutt Madness" and the generosity of Rachael Ray. The new kitchen will honor our benefactor and it will be called "Rachael's Kitchen" New photos will be uploaded weekly.
