Irene has returned! Yes Iren (that's French) flew
in last night and will be our house guest for two
months. She loves helping with the animals and her
friendly French manners are a delight to all.
Last Summer (2006)
We were blessed with not one or two but
three volunteers from France.
It started two years ago when after seeing a
French Television piece about Angel's Gate , Marina
and her parents (she was only 17 at the time)
contacted Susan to ask if she could come and stay
with us and volunteer for one month. We happily
accepted and she proved to be a total joy. Marina
worked diligently for the animals. She spoke some
English and improved quickly. She is a language
major and speaks several languages. She has translated
the Spanish and French pages you see above. She
is a talented photographer, some of her photos
are on the site and she fashions lovely pictorial
albums. Marina returned this April for two weeks
and again this summer for one month. Needless
to say she is family now.
Quite independently Irene who lives in a very
different part of France saw us on Television
and volunteered to come for 3 months! She, has
been a great help Angel's Gate and though she
spoke only a little English she is learning rapidly.
After 1 month her son Julien, fresh from college,
joined us as well. Julien loves everything American!
I'm teaching him Baseball.
Love for animals knows no boundaries. We feel
very honored that these three wonderful people
have given so much to help. That they have come
from abroad to do so ,overwhelms us. We truly
are blessed!

Marina, Irene and Julien have returned many times.
We are greatly appreciative of their dedication
and friendship.
