Times Daily:Disabled Dogs Head to New York
A dozen Chihuahuas that have various disabilities
and ailments will soon be on their way to Angel's
Gate. The Chihuahuas were among 47 dogs taken Dec.
31 from the home of a local woman who had become
too sick to care for them. They were sent to the
Colbert County shelter. more

It has been reported to us that Angel's Gate was
discussed on Whoopi Goldberg's "WAKE
UP WITH WHOOPI" morning radio show.
She has a regular segment when she asks "Now
Tell me Some Good News" and Angel's Gate's
and our work with special needs animals and it's
provision of hospice care for animals was the "Good
News" of the day. Several people have called
to tell us of the show. One came to begin volunteering
on a regular bases. |

A a segment on Angel's Gate was aired on CBS.
That day we received 100,000 hits to our web site
and made many new friends. We are grateful to CBS
and especially to Debbie Turner who did such a fine
job putting it all together. |

PEOPLE MAGAZINE printed
a full page article about Angel' Gate. Susan was
the "Hero of the Week" on CBS News and
an "Every Day Hero" in News Day in conjunction
with Adelphi University. Victor and Susan were acknowledged
as "People Making a Difference" on Channel
12 News Long Island. They were featured on Fox 5
News and the WB11 News Show in New York City. |
